Idealwine Wine Auction 2013-10-28
Last week, the online wine auction house Idealwine probably
had the most wine auctions in its history.
5013 different lots could be listed on wine-stocks.com
The auction volume included 68.671 wine bottles, the value of
all stored sales was $ 5.546.997
The majority of the auctioned wines were, as usual, red wines, followed
by white wines, port wine and sparkling wines ( Champagne)
This wine auctions at Idealwine had a very clear focus on French wines.
(45,16 %) from all auctioned wines came from Bordeaux,
(20,87%) from Burgundy, the wine regions Rhone contributed (14,19%)
of the wines.
The Northern France wine region Loire, at least, had still (6,16%) share
of the auction volume and the Languedoc in the south of France
could sell (3,46%) of the offers
Of couse, there were again wine price records in this wine auction.
Wine price records, that have never been higher listed in all historic wine
auction prices and therefore record prices.

The best selling wineries was Chateau Greysac from Bordeaux
followed directly by Chapoutier from the Rhone,
Sociando Mallet again Bordeaux, Chateau Beaucastel, Rhone and
Chateau Belle Vue Bordeaux France.
The most popular wine came from Burgundy.
Marchand Grillot Morey St Denis vintage 2005 in a 750ml bottle,
followed by Chateau Belle Vue vintage 2010 750ml achieved
the second place, the second wine from
Pichon Longueville Comtesse - Reserve de la Comtesse 2003
750ml was able to reach the third place.
Directly afterwards followed Chateau Le Sarte 2010 750ml and
Clos Marie Metairies du Clos vintage 2008 in the 750ml bottle.
The By wine lovers, restaurateurs and investors, most
sought vintages were, ordered by popularity
2010, 2009, 2005, 2008, 2006.
Bottle sizes were ( 91.38 %) 750ml bottles, followed by
1500ml magnum, 3000ml and 5000ml - double magnum and jeroboam.
The container sizes were ( 20.63% ) as a 4 pack, ( 18.1%), 2- pack
( 11.44% ) 12- owc , (1.39 %) 6 owc and ( 8.27% ) 24er owc containers.
The highest wine prices reached Chateau Petrus and Angelus
Chateau Petrus 1998 in a 750ml bottle was auctioned for$ 5617
Chateau Angelus 1989 in a 6000ml imperial reached a wine value of $3494
Chateau Petrus 2010 in the 750ml bottle reached a wine price of $ 3492
Chateau Petrus 1990 750ml bottle achieved a wine value of $ 3083
