Two wine bottles of Mugnier Musigny vintage 2007 in a size 750 ml, were auctioned for 889,00 €.
In an exciting bidding fight the price rose until 889,00 € per 750 ml wine bottle and realized this fantastic world record for fine wine prices. Since the last wine price on the 2016-03-14 at CAVEX Wine Auctions which realized a wineprice of 591,95 €, the instantaneous price increase is 297,05 € or +50,18 %. The organisers of the Sothebys Wine Auctions London have hailed growing demand for high-end
wines from all over the world, as this month event achieved record prices.
The wine auction at Sothebys Wine Auctions London was long, very extensive and the results more than impressive.
Wine trading day on Wednesday the 2016-03-16 at Sothebys Wine Auctions London attained wine investors, wine dealers and wine clubs from all over the world.
More then 603 wine lots were sold, the volume of bottles, without mixed lots and listed at Wine-Stocks, was 4.843 wine bottles.
The listed price volume was 900.212,37 €, again without mixed lots, the average wine bottle value was 185,88 €.
During this wine auction the biggest percentage of the trading volume of 72,10 % came from the top wine region of Bordeaux. 3.492 wine bottles came from Bordeaux to the auction.

The winery Mouton Rothschild from Bordeaux was most popular. With a total of 8,92 % or 432 bottles it was set on the first place in popularity by wine lovers. The most wanted single wine was the 2009 Pontet Canet in a 750 ml wine bottle. With more than 2,73 % of total offers roundabout 132 wine bottles this wine was clearly the most popular wine.
The most popular vintage at this wine auction was the 2009 vintage, with 901 bottles or 18,60 %, therefore the vintage got the first place. The 750 ml bottle size achieved 95,89 % or 4.644 bottles in this fine
wine auction. Units of 12, were traded most. The most expensive wine in this fine wine auction came from Bordeaux. One wine bottle Mouton Rothschild vintage 1945 in a 750 ml wine bottle got a new owner for
9.144,00 €. The most affordable wine values were 60 wine bottles Les Fiefs Lagrange vintage 2011 traded in the 750 ml bottle. The auctioneer got an offer from 11,00 € per bottle.
The second place or a converted 8,34 % of the offers came from Toscana. 404 wine bottles Toscana were sold in the auction.
